The Future of The Planet
Alright guys, I usually just post pictures but I feel like today I need to make a different type of post.
The future of our species seems to be quite bleak. Climate change, peak oil, diminishing aquifers, ocean acidification, and overpopulation are all going to be colossal problems in the future (more so than today). I’m not going to go into to detail because frankly it’s too depressing. If you doubt me, research these topics yourself. The writing is on the wall.
Barring multiple miracles, the future is going to be a violent and unstable place for BILLIONS of humans.
Want to have a positive impact?
DON’T HAVE CHILDREN and do environmentally friendly things. But most importantly DON’T HAVE CHILDREN. Having one child basically doubles your environmental impact. It is HIGHLY LIKELY the future will not be a pleasant place to live.
Try to enjoy the present as much as possible. Love as much as possible. Realize that nothing lasts forever and be at peace with impermanence. Namaste.
